The pool way.

They are pulling down the pool way
They say it has past its best
A splendid place in its heyday
But no money they will invest .

It has now become a ghost town
And the weeds are everywhere
Growing from beneath the ground.
not a single person there .

I remember in the sixtys a lovely place indeed
Grocery shops and super stores
And everything you need
You couldn't ask for anything more.

Those good old days now over
They are making way for the new
Now we have grown to be much older
And our remaining years are few.

Then the pool way it will rise again
In a different shape and form
Although it will never be the same
The pool way will be reborn.
